Leonid Kravchuk

Leonid Kravchuk was a male politician, economist, and film actor born on 1934-01-10 in Velykyi Zhytyn. He held citizenship in the Soviet Union, Ukraine, and Poland. Educated at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, he served as President of Ukraine, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, and People's Deputy of Ukraine. His political career included membership in the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Social Democratic Party of Ukraine (united), and Communist Party of Ukraine. He was also a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, State Council of the Soviet Union, and Verkhovna Rada.

Kravchuk spoke Russian and Ukrainian, with Ukrainian as his native language. He was affiliated with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church – Kyiv Patriarchate and Eastern Orthodoxy. He received the Order of the October Revolution, Jubilee Medal "In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin", Order of the Red Banner of Labour, and Medal "In Commemoration of the 1500th Anniversary of Kyiv". He was married to Antonina Kravchuk. He died on 2022-05-10 in Munich and was buried at Baikove Cemetery. His name in native language is Леонід Макарович Кравчук.
