Levi Kreis

Levi Kreis is a Tony Award–winning actor, playwright, and musician whose work bridges Broadway, film, and original musical theatre with uncommon emotional clarity. He originated the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in Million Dollar Quartet on Broadway, earning the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical, an Outer Critics Circle Award, and a Drama League nomination. His stage work includes Hermes in the First National Tour of Hadestown , the Broadway revival of Violet , and Roger in the national tour of Rent . On screen, his performances range from Bill Paxton’s Frailty to the independent features A Very Sordid Wedding and The Divide . Raised in Oliver Springs, Tennessee, Kreis began playing piano as a child before building a career as a songwriter and performer. His music is grounded in gospel, soul, and narrative songwriting, and has been featured in The Vampire Diaries, Sons of Anarchy, and So You Think You Can Dance. He has released eleven independent albums through his own label, Vision 9 Records, building a catalogue defined by restraint, emotional precision, and lived experience. Kreis’s current focus is Already Perfect , an original musical for which he wrote the book, music, and lyrics, and in which he also stars. Premiering at King’s Head Theatre in 2026, the production received nine Fringe Theatre Award nominations and won the Fringe Theatre Award for Best Music. Blending a piano-driven score with an intimate theatrical style, Already Perfect establishes Kreis as a musical theatre playwright with a distinctive voice. He is also the creator of Between The Milestones , a cinematic YouTube series documenting the creative life between the headlines—following the quiet, often unseen moments of writing, rebuilding, performing, and beginning again.
