色における明度(めいど、英語: Brightness)とは物体から放射または反射する光によって認知される視覚に関する心理物理量をいう。明度は色相・彩度とともに色の三属性の一要素である。また、線形的に認知されるのではなく、見られる物体の周囲の環境によって左右される。その代表的な例がホワイト効果である。また、明度の高低は物体の反射率との相関性が高い。多くのでは、一般的にの文字で変数としての表記がされている。
