Linda Eder was born in Tucson, Arizona on February 3, 1961. She began her career as a night-club entertainer before gaining national fame on the popular show "Star Search." She was undefeated for twelve weeks running before leaving the show for a Broadway career. She met Frank Wildhorn who immediately fell in love with her and her incredible voice.
