Nelle telecomunicazioni, il termine LTE, sigla di Long Term Evolution, indica l'evoluzione degli standard di telefonia mobile cellulare GSM/UMTS, CDMA2000 e TD-SCDMA. Nasce come nuova generazione per i sistemi di accesso mobile a banda larga (Broadband Wireless Access).
