Met 165 meter en 44 verdiepingen was dit bij oplevering het hoogste gebouw in Nederland. Het gebouw bestaat uit 2 ten opzichte van elkaar gedraaide volumes. Het ene volume, 100 meter hoog en zwart, staat aan de Laan van Zuid. De andere is 165 meter hoog en wordt naar boven toe steeds lichter. Hiervoor zijn veertig grijstinten gebruikt. De gevelbekleding is in aluminium uitgevoerd. De bovenste lagen hebben een glazen gevel. De Maastoren wordt gebruikt door Deloitte, AKD Prinsen van Wijmen, Q-Park en Mabanaft. In de plint is een parkeergarage met 630 parkeerplaatsen over negen verdiepingen ondergebracht. De entree wordt gemarkeerd door een aan witte staalkabels opgehangen glazen golvende luifel. In deze luifel is 700 m² glas en 80 ton staal verwerkt.
