Maaya Sakamoto (坂本真綾) (born March 31, 1980 in Itabashi, Tokyo) is a Japanese singer-songwriter, voice actress, and lyricist whose career spans over three decades. She began working in dubbing and narration at age eight and made her breakthrough at sixteen as Hitomi Kanzaki in the anime The Vision of Escaflowne (1996).
