Machiques ist eine Stadt im Bundesstaat Zulia, Venezuela, im Nordwesten des Landes und nahe der Grenze zu Kolumbien. Sie ist die Hauptstadt der Gemeinde Machiques de Perijá. Die Viehzucht ist wichtigster Wirtschaftszweig der Region. Am 16. August 2005 stürzte Flug 708 der West Caribbean Airways, unterwegs von Panama-Stadt nach Fort-de-France, durch einen Strömungsabriss in gebirgigem Gelände des Stadtgebiets ab. Alle 160 Personen an Bord kamen ums Leben.
