Malvin Groston (Mal) Whitfield (Bay City, 11 oktober 1924 – Washington, 18 november 2015) was een Amerikaanse atleet, die gespecialiseerd was in de 800 m. Hij werd tweemaal olympisch kampioen in deze discipline. In totaal nam hij tweemaal deel aan de Olympische Spelen en won hierbij vijf medailles. In 1954 werd hij voor zijn prestaties onderscheiden met de James E. Sullivan Award.
