Marcel Moyse (May 17, 1889 - November 1, 1984) was a famous French flute player, for whom many pieces were written (eg. the Concerto by Jacques Ibert, 1934). He was also a gifted flute teacher, and authored many studies and exercises for flute. Marcel Moyse was born on 17 May 1889 in St. Amour, France. He studied at the Paris Conservatory and was a student of Philippe Gaubert, Adolphe Hennebains and Paul Taffanel all of whom were distinguished virtuosos in their time. <a href="https://www.last.
