We aim to make living in our small community your most treasured choice! Marne got its beginnings when, in 1875, German investors from a settlement in Davenport, Iowa filed papers and plotted land purchased from Thomas Meredith. The city's name is taken from that of Marne, Germany. Marne was established as one of the first communities in Iowa after the railroad was built through the state. We believe that each person in our community has something special to offer. The dedication and passion of our volunteers inspires and motivates others to join our mission of a promising future. This ripple effect leads to increased community engagement and collective action towards common goals. Enhancing Quality of Life : Through various activities and services, volunteers improve the overall quality of life in their communities. We Currently have 2 new homes being built in town and have several other lots available for purchase. We also have a couple homes for sale. We are in the Atlantic school district and water is supplied by Atlantic Municipal Utilities. Exit 51 off I80 and then 3 miles south. Beautifully positioned right between Omaha Ne and DesMonies IA
