Marta Eggerth (17 April 1912, Budapest – 26 December 2013, New York) was a Hungarian-born singer/actress from "The Silver Age of Operetta". Marta Eggerth (Boedapest, 17 april 1912 – Rye, 26 december 2013) was een Hongaars-Amerikaanse actrice en operettezangeres. Eggerth werd geboren in Boedapest als dochter van een sopraan en een bankdirecteur. Ze begon op jonge leeftijd met zingen en maakte op haar elfde haar debuut in een operette. Ze speelde onder meer in opera's van Max Reinhardt. In de jaren '30 werd Eggerth ontdekt door de filmindustrie. Ze acteerde in het Hongaars, Engels, Duits, Frans en Italiaans. Haar filmcarrière duurde tot 1957. In 1999 speelde ze nog even in een aflevering van Tatort (Nie wieder Oper). Ze huwde in 1936 met tenor Jan Kiepura. Eggert overleed op 26 december 2013 op 101-jarige leeftijd.
