Massimo Urbani was an Italian jazz saxophonist. Urbani was born in Rome into a large family in 1957. His parents were of humble stock, his father working as a janitor at a local high school. He became enamored with jazz at an early age and at 16 years old was first committed to record on Mario Schiano's Sud.
