Mayfair is an affluent neighborhood in central London, located between Oxford Street, Regent Street, Piccadilly, and Park Lane, and ranks among the most expensive residential and commercial districts in the world. Named after an annual fair that took place there in the early 18th century, the area transformed from rural land into the prestigious urban district it is today.
