Mehdi Amini (persian: مهدی امینی) born in 1980, is an Iranian Taar player and composer. he began learning Taar in 1995 under Masters such as Aidin Oliayee Nasab, Mohammad Reza Ebrahimi, Behrouz Hemmati and Hooshang Zarif. He studied Bachelor of Art major in Iranian Traditional music at Karaj university of arts. He is currently a part of the Shahnaz ensemble directed by Majid Derakhshani.
