== Geography == Miesitz is located in the southeastern region of Thuringia, approximately 70 kilometers south of Erfurt and 40 kilometers east of Jena. The municipality sits at an elevation of about 330 meters above sea level and covers an area of 4.42 square kilometers. The surrounding area is characterized by rolling hills, forests, and agricultural land.
