Mike Wilkinson began writing songs at age 11. His earlest recordings were done in 1971. He had an indie country hit, "Breakin' Plans" in 1991, but returned to his blues/folk/rock roots as a singer/songwriter, performed solo for several years in the acoustic/folk field before forming The Blue Mirrors, a rock and blues band performing mostly his own material and some more obscure covers.
