Moanbane is in the central sector, at the western edge, of the Wicklow Mountains, in County Wicklow, Ireland. Moanbane is on a small massif alongside Silsean which lies between the Blessington lakes (or Poulaphouca Reservoir), and the taller mountain of Mullaghcleevaun .
