Monaghan [ˈmonəhan], irisch Muineachán [ˈmʷinʲəxaːɴ], ist die Hauptstadt des Countys Monaghan in der Republik Irland. Der Name bedeutet „Land der kleinen Hügel“ und bezieht sich auf das Umland von Monaghan. Die Einwohnerzahl beträgt 7678 (2016).
