M'razig
Sign in to saveThe Mrazig are a previously nomadic people who live in and around the town of Ghlissia and Douz, Tunisia. Their land goes 100 kiliometers/62 miles into the Tunisian desert. They are the descendants of the Banu Sulaym tribe who left the Arabian Peninsula in the seventh century. They lived first in Egypt, then Libya, and finally arrived and settled in Tunisia in the thirteenth century.

Il popolo M'razig è una etnia beduina già nomade, attualmente stanziata nella città tunisina di Douz e nei suoi dintorni. Numericamente assomma a circa 50000 appartenenti, discendenti dalla tribù la quale, dopo aver lasciato la penisola arabica nell'VIII secolo d.C., si stabilì prima in Egitto, poi in Libia e finalmente (nel XIII secolo) in Tunisia.
