Mudar
Sign in to saveMudar (Arabic: مُضَر) was one of the principal tribal confederations of northern and central Arabia in late antiquity and the early Islamic period. Mudar rose to power over the Hejaz in the fifth century, after supplanting its predecessor, the Banu Ghassan, who migrated to Syria. The chief tribes over Mudar may have been the Salihids early on, and then Banu Tha'labah, and finally in the early sixth century, Banu Ghassan.

Mudar stamt af van Nizar (of Nazar) ibn ('zoon van') Ma'add ibn Adnan ibn Add ibn Zand ibn Nebajoth (volgens andere bronnen Kedar) ibn Ismaël ibn Abraham ibn Azar ibn Nahor ibn Serug ibn Rehu ibn Peleg ibn Eber ibn Shaleh ibn Arpachsad ibn Sem ibn Noach ibn Lamech ibn Metusalem ibn Idris ibn Yared ibn Mahalalel ibn Kenan ibn Enos ibn Seth ibn Adam.
