Mügeln ist eine Kleinstadt in Sachsen, im Südosten des Landkreises Nordsachsen. Nachbarstädte sind Oschatz (neun Kilometer) und Döbeln (15 Kilometer). Bekanntheit erlangte der Ort als ehemaliger Bischofssitz des Bistums Meißen und im 19. Jahrhundert durch die Schmalspurbahn, deren Bahnhof in Mügeln einst als einer der größten Schmalspurbahnhöfe Europas galt.
