Mursan is a town and a Nagar Panchayat in Hathras district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The primary spoken language is a dialect of Hindi, Braj Bhasha, which is closely related to Khariboli. It is the birth place of Indian independence activist and nobel peace prize nominee, Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh. ==Demographics== According to the 2011 Census of India, it had a population of 13,637, with 7,302 males and 6,335 females. The literacy rate was 65.73%, with male literacy at 72.49% and female literacy at 57.95%. The sex ratio was 868 females per 1,000 males, and the child sex ratio was 862.
