==History== In J. G. Lorimer's Gazetteer of the Persian Gulf first published in 1908, Mushayrib was described as a place where the town of Al Bidda obtained its water supply from, but described the water as brackish and scanty. Lorimer noted that it appeared to accommodate one of the only seven sizable date palm plantations in Qatar.
