Nectria is een schimmelgeslacht van Ascomyceten. Ze zijn meestal saprofytisch op rottend hout, maar sommige soorten, zoals bijvoorbeeld vruchtboomkanker, zijn ook parasitair op bomen, vooral op appelbomen en een aantal andere loofbomen. Nectria-soorten komen van nature voor in Europa en Noord-Amerika en sommige soorten zijn ingevoerd in New Zealand en Australië.
