Nicholas Bloom

Nicholas Bloom is a British economist and academic born in London in 1973. He holds a doctorate and has worked as a university teacher at Stanford University, the Institute for Fiscal Studies, and HM Treasury. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Econometric Society. He is also recognized in the American Academy Arts Sciences collection.

Bloom’s research focuses on economics, with notable works including *Come together*, *Solving the Skills Gap*, *Uncertainty and the dynamics of r&d*, *Does management matter?*, and *The new empirical economics of management*. He received the Frisch Medal and a Guggenheim Fellowship. His doctoral advisors were John Van Reenen and Richard Blundell. He speaks English and has three children.
