Nicole Elizabeth Berger (she/her) is a multi-talented actress, pianist, and model. During her short time in the entertainment industry, she has already earned ten movie credits, seven of which include major roles. Nicole was born to parents Harvey and Chrysanthi Berger on November 27, 2003, in New York, NY. Her father, Harvey Berger, holds an M.D. degree from Yale School of Medicine and is an accomplished entrepreneur, physician-scientist, life-sciences executive, and philanthropist. Her mother served as a concertmaster at LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and is a classical violinist with advanced degrees from the Manhattan School of Music. With her parental background, it’s no wonder Nicole began honing her skill sets so early in life. At only five years old, Nicole showed a strong interest in and talent for music. Shortly after, she started her training as a classical violinist and pianist. During this time, Nicole also began her modeling career, appearing in ads for Toys “R” Us and Saks Fifth Avenue. Not long after this, Nicole began acting; first appearing in local theater productions as Maria in West Side Story, Miss Honey in Matilda, and in renditions of The Nutcracker in Palm Beach, Florida. Nicole made her first cinematic appearance in the 2011 film Goldberg, P.I . before landing the roles of Young Beatrice in The Longest Week (2014) and Lydia in Prescient (2015). She landed her first leading role in the 2016 drama All At Once. Here Nicole showcased her piano skills, playing the part of Grace Clarke; a teen piano prodigy taken in by family friends after the death of her parents in the Twin Towers on 9/11. The film premiered in 2016 at the Napa Valley Film Festival, and again at the 2016 Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival, where it was awarded Best Director. In 2020, Nicole was cast as the title character in the film Clover . The comedic crime drama follows Clover, a teenage girl on the run with two brothers from a ruthless mob boss. Her work in this film landed her the Best Teen Actress in a Streaming Film Role award at the 42nd Young Artist Academy Awards. Another 2020 endeavor finds Nicole starring as Ali in Ali’s Realm , a short film telling the stunning story of a teen who stands up to bullies while mourning the loss of her best friend. Highlighted as a mainstay of the film, a 7’ tall alien named Charlie roams the streets and parks of New York City alongside Ali. The film was awarded Best Picture at the LA Film Awards in 2020 and the Seattle International Film Festival in 2019. Nicole was also awarded for her performance in the film, winning the Lead Actress Award in the Best Shorts Competition in 2020. In addition to this 2020 role, Nicole can also be seen in the lead role of Natalie in that year’s short film, Five Teenagers Walk into a Bar. The short was chosen as the Best Film at the LA Shorts International Film Festival in 2020. Nicole also starred in the indie thriller Runt , playing the lead, Cecily. In this coming-of-age story, Cecily and Cal (played by the late Cameron Boyce ) explore challenges that many teens are faced with, all while dealing with the absence of sufficient adult supervision. Runt premiered at The Mammoth Film Festival in 2020, won two awards (Best Director and the Audience Award), and was released in theaters and on streaming in September 2021. Most recently, Nicole completed the filming of Black Spines , a horror-thriller currently in post-production (2023). Currently, Nicole is attending Harvard University as a Theater, Dance, and Media concentrator and will be a member of the 2027 graduating class. She has also joined the collegiate a cappella group The Harvard Callbacks.
