Norma ist eine tragische Oper (Originalbezeichnung: „tragedia lirica“) in zwei Akten von Vincenzo Bellini. Das Libretto stammt von Felice Romani und beruht auf einem Drama von Alexandre Soumet. Die Uraufführung mit Giuditta Pasta in der Titelrolle fand 1831 an der Mailänder Scala statt. Die Partie der Norma gilt als eine der schwierigsten und anspruchsvollsten Rollen für eine hohe Frauenstimme und fordert im Idealfall eine Darstellerin mit großen expressiven Fähigkeiten. Besonders berühmt ist die Cavatine „Casta diva“ der Norma im ersten Akt.
