Obadiah the Proselyte (Ovadyah ha-Ger) (converted 1102; fl. early 12th century) — born Johannes of Oppido (Giovanni da Oppido), a Norman-Italian Christian monk — converted to Judaism in 1102 and thereafter signed himself Ovadyah ha-Ger (“Obadiah the convert”).
