Cliff Robertson spielt darin einen Geschäftsmann, dessen Familie bei einer Entführung stirbt. 15 Jahre später lernt er eine Frau kennen, die seiner Ehefrau so ähnelt, dass er eine Besessenheit für sie entwickelt. Dieser Thriller mit melodramatischen Elementen ist eine Hommage an Alfred Hitchcocks Vertigo.
