Opatovec () is a municipality and village in Svitavy District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 700 inhabitants.

==Etymology== The name Opatovec is a diminutive of Opatov, which is the neighbouring village. The names of both of these villages were derived from the word (i.e. 'abbot'), which refers to the fact that they were initially the property of the monastery in Litomyšl.
