Orthophytum (Greek "ortho" = straight and "phytum" = plant) is a genus in the plant family Bromeliaceae, subfamily Bromelioideae.
==Distribution== All the species of the bromeliad genus are endemic to the Atlantic Forest biome (Mata Atlantica Brasileira), located in southeast Brazil.
