Oskar Maria Graf

Oskar Maria Graf was a German-language poet, writer, journalist, and novelist. Born in Berg, Germany, on 22 July 1894, he participated in World War I. He held citizenship in both Germany and the United States. His professional career spanned from 1976 to 1995, during which he worked in Brno. He wrote in German and is associated with the Oskar Maria Graf Gesellschaft e. V.

Graf died in New York City on 28 June 1967 and is buried at Bogenhausener Friedhof. He was a member of the Academy of Arts, Berlin, and the Academy of Arts of the GDR. His notable works include *Die Chronik von Flechting*, *Grösstenteils schimpflich*, *Das Leben meiner Mutter*, *Bolwieser*, and *Roman eines Ehemannes*. His archives are held at the Bavarian State Library.
