== Geography == Ostroukhov is located in forest steppe, on Khopyorsko-Buzulukskaya Plain, on the bank of the Khopyor River, 28 km southwest of Kumylzhenskaya (the district's administrative centre) by road. Devkin is the nearest rural locality.
