Peschtera [ˈpɛʃtɛrɐ] (bulgarisch Пещера, deutsch Höhle- dann aber mit der Betonung auf der letzten Silbe) ist eine Stadt in Bulgarien. Sie liegt 450 m über dem Meeresspiegel an der Grenze zwischen dem Oberthrakischen Tal und den westlichen Rhodopen, 125 km südöstlich von Sofia, 40 km südwestlich von Plowdiw, 20 km südlich von Pasardschik und 15 km nördlich von Batak. Die Stadt hat 16.189 Einwohner (Stand: Dezember 2016).
