Péter Erdő (Boedapest, 25 juni 1952) is een Hongaars geestelijke en kardinaal van de Katholieke Kerk. Erdő werd in 1975 tot priester gewijd. In 1994 werd hij benoemd tot hulpbisschop van Székesfehérvár en tot titelvoerend bisschop van Puppi. In 2002 werd Péter Erdő aartsbisschop van Esztergom-Boedapest. Tijdens het consistorie van oktober 2003 werd Erdő verheven tot kardinaal. Hij kreeg de Santa Balbina als titelkerk. Hij werd hierdoor op dat moment het jongste lid van het College van Kardinalen; als zodanig werd hij op 20 november 2010 opgevolgd door de aartsbisschop van München-Freising, Reinhard Marx. Kardinaal Erdö is sinds 2006 president van de Raad van Europese Bisschoppenconferenties.
