==Life== Pharaildis was born in Ghent, the daughter of Witger, Duke of Lorraine and his wife Amalberga of Maubeuge. Her siblings were: Emebert, Reineldis, Ermelindis and Gudula. Pharaildis was brought up by Gertrude of Nivelles.
