Piaam is a small village in the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 50 in January 2017.
==History== The village was first mentioned in the 13th century as Pyangum and means "settlement of Pada or Pya (person)". Piaam developed along the former Zuiderzee (nowadays IJsselmeer) coast near two lakes: Feitemeer and Parregaastermeer. The village is located on a dead-end street from the former sea dike.
