Pieter Bustijn (1649?-1729), was a musician from Middelburg (Netherlands) and because of the fact that most of the Middelburg archives in 1940 has been lost, there is not much material left about his life. But considering the level of his skills, he must have been an important musician. In the early 17th century, Middelburg was an important center of art (after the fall of Antwerp in 1585) and after Amsterdam, the second trading center in the Republic. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/Pieter+B
