==History== Planète Câble was created on 19 September 1988 by Ellipse Câble to enrich the nascent cable TV offering with a new genre for a thematic channel: documentaries. On 14 November 1992, Planète Câble became available by satellite as part of the 4 initial basic channels of the CanalSatellite bouquet.
