Polynesian refers to a family of languages spoken across a vast region of the Pacific Ocean, including places like Hawaii, Samoa, and Tahiti, where millions of people use these related languages today. These languages matter because they connect the history and culture of Pacific Island communities and help preserve the distinct identities of Polynesian peoples across different islands.

Języki polinezyjskie – grupa języków oceanicznych (wschodnioaustronezyjskich) z rodziny języków austronezyjskich, którymi posługuje się ok. 1 mln tubylczych mieszkańców wysp Oceanii. Większość z nich używana jest w obrębie tzw. trójkąta polinezyjskiego, którego zasięg wyznaczają Hawaje, Nowa Zelandia i Wyspa Wielkanocna, niektóre jednak, klasyfikowane jako języki peryferyjne (ang. outlier) geograficznie pozostają poza trójkątem, na terenie Mikronezji i Melanezji.
