Pornic is connected to Nantes by regular train services. The trains are not very frequent and services are concentrated in the early morning and early evening for commuters during the week.
Pornic is a pleasant place to wander around. From the city centre you and follow a path which will take you to the swimming beach. The town is quite historic and the streets above the harbour are very pleasant to wander around.
Pornic is famous for its ice creams. There are many restaurants and the ones close to the harbour and generally more expensive than those a few streets back.
It is possible to rent holiday apartments through the local tourist office (which is next to the train station).
