The ProB is the third-tier level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 24 teams, separated into a Northern and a Southern Division. La ProB es el tercer nivel de la competición de baloncesto en Alemania, por detrás de la Basketball Bundesliga y de la ProA. Hasta el año 2008 sólo había una segunda división, la 2. Basketball Bundesliga, que se dividía en norte y sur, pero desde ese año se dividió en dos subcategorías de forma jerárquica, la ProA, que es la segunda categoría y que proporciona el ascenso a la Beko BBL, y la ProB, con 24 equipos divididos en dos grupos, que sería la tercera categoría.
