Sign in to saveIn Greek legends, Procles (, "the renowned") was one of the Heracleidae, a great-great-great-grandson of Heracles, and a son of Aristodemus and Argia. His twin was Eurysthenes. Together they received the land of Lacedaemon after Cresphontes, Temenus and Aristodemus defeated Tisamenus, the last Achaean king of the Peloponnesus. Procles married Anaxandra, daughter of Thersander, King of Kleonoe, sister of his sister-in-law Lathria, and was the father of Soos and the grandfather of Eurypon, founder of the Eurypontid dynasty of the Kings of Sparta.

プロクレース（古希: Προκλῆς, Proclēs, 在位：紀元前930年頃）はギリシア神話の登場人物で、スパルタ王家の一つエウリュポーン朝の始祖とされる人物である。長母音を省略してプロクレスとも表記される。 プロクレスはヘーラクレースから数えて6代目の子孫であり、アリストデーモスとアルゲイアーの子であり、エウリュステネースという双子の兄弟がいた。アリストデーモスは幼い子らを残して死んだため、アルゲイアーの兄弟のが二人の後見人となった。そして、成人するとプロクレースとエウリュステネースはデルポイの神託に従って互いを共同統治者としてスパルタの王位に就いたが、彼らは仲が悪かった。このため、代々スパルタには王がそれぞれの家系から二人いる。 次の王位には子のソオスがついた。
