profil ist ein österreichisches Nachrichtenmagazin. Es wurde 1970 von Oscar Bronner, der zuvor bereits das Wirtschaftsmagazin trend geschaffen hatte und 1988 die Tageszeitung Der Standard auf den Markt brachte, als Monatsmagazin gegründet. 2008 wurde die Zeitschrift als wichtigstes österreichisches Nachrichtenmagazin bezeichnet.
