Rage est un groupe de power metal allemand, originaire de Herne, dans le Land de Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie. Il est formé en 1984 par son chanteur, bassiste et leader Peter Wagner dit Peavy. Tout d'abord baptisé Avenger, il ne prend son nom définitif qu'en 1986.
