拉格茜爾·莫溫克爾

Ragnhild Mowinckel is a Norwegian alpine athlete, double Olympic medalist and specialist in giant slalom, super-G and downhill. Ragnhild grew up in Molde, Møre og Romsdal, on the west coast of Norway. She is the youngest of three siblings. She started skiing by the age of 2 years old, following her older siblings footsteps. She skies for Sportsklubben Rival. She went to Oppdal ski gymnasium and in 2010 she became a part of Alpinlandslaget (Norwegian Alpine Ski Team) skiing in the Europa cup. In beginning of January 2012 she had her World Cup debut in Zagreb, Croatia ending in a DNF. Her international breakthrough came at the FIS Jr. World Championship in Roccaraso, ITA 2012 with three medals in respectively GS (gold), combined (gold) and SG (bronze). She took two more medals the following year; combined (gold) and GS (silver) at the FIS Jr. World Championship in Quebec; CAN 2013. She became a part of the World Cup team in 2013. After some struggling years with uneven results, her big breakthrough in the World Cup came in the 2017/2018 season scoring her first World Cup podium in super-G in Val d'Isère, France. At the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang 2018 in Korea, she won two silver medals in giant slalom and downhill. By the end of the season she had another 3 podiums ending the season with her first World Cup victory in GS in Ofterschwang, Germany in March 2018. She won her first World Championship medal in Åre, Sweden in 2019 placing third (bronze) in the super combined. At the World Cup Finals in Soldeu, Andorra she suffered a serious knee injury including a ACL rupture. 8 months later in November, she suffered another serious setback with her second ACL rupture barely months before her comeback. This set her out the entire coming 2019/2020 season. Her comeback in the World Cup was the 2020/2021 season and in December 2021 she scored her first podium coming second in the SG in the same place she scored her first podium back in 2017 - Val d'Isère, France. She went on to win her second FIS World Cup in the SG at the finals in Courchevel in 2022. She went on to deliver her current best seasons since before her big injuries in both the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 season - ending respectively 4th and 5th in the overall standing. In the 2022/2023 season she also ended 3rd in the SG cup after Lara Gut Behrami from Switzerland and Federica Brignone from Italy. She currently is tied with Andrine Flemmen for the most wins in the FIS World Cup and she has the most podiums by any Norwegian Woman with 3 wins - 13 podiums (November 2023) She also has the most medals by any Norwegian women in both the FIS World Championships alpine and the Olympics. She is currently the most winning Norwegian alpine women in the FIS World Cup. She also has the most medals by any alpine Norwegian women in both the FIS World Championships and the Olympics. She has 13 podiums, including 3 wins in the FIS World Cup. (November 2023) She won her first World Championship medal in Åre, Sweden in 2019 placing third (bronze) in the super combined.
