==Education== Rathnew is home to Gaelscoil Chill Mhantáin, an Irish language primary school, which was established in 1996. The school was Ireland's first inter-denominational primary school, and draws pupils from Rathdrum, Brittas and Newcastle, as well as Rathnew.
