Ray Fisher (born 26 November 1940; died 31 August 2011) was one of The Fisher family, a group that became synonymous with all that is best in Scottish song. One of the UK's foremost traditional singer, Ray learned many of her songs and much of her style from such famous exponents of the Scottish tradition as Jeannie Robertson, The Stewarts of Blair and Lizzie Higgins.
