Univision aired Rebelde on weekdays afternoon at 3pm EST/ 2c starting on 21 March 2005 replacing Corazones al límite. El Gordo y La flaca would air after Rebelde at 4 pm EST/ 3 C

The show stars Anahí, Dulce María, Alfonso Herrera, Christian Chávez and Christopher von Uckermann, with Maite Perroni in her debut role. The adult protagonists are Juan Ferrara, and Ninel Conde starring in a stellar performance, with Enrique Rocha and Tony Dalton portraying the antagonists. Due to its school setting, the telenovela features an ensemble cast, including Angelique Boyer, Estefanía Villarreal, Karla Cossío, Zoraida Gómez, Jack Duarte, and Eddy Vilard. The first actors Hector Gómez and Lourdes Canale also appear in the show.
